On AOL Health today, they explore three foods and two ways each of those foods can “boost your beauty” with their natural ingredients. The saying “you are what you eat,” is quite true, according to AOL Health. Health and beauty experts agree that what you eat can have both a positive and negative affect on you, both inside and out.

While there are no foods or remedies out there that will help you erase all the wrinkles, there are some that will help you age gracefully. Here are three foods that have been proven to enhance your beauty, weather you eat it or put it on your skin.

1. Olive Oil

Eat it – Rich in polyphenols that are anti-fungal and anti-bacterial agents. It is also an essential fatty acid that keeps you hydrated, supple, youthful and beautiful. Put in a salad or use it in a pan when you’re cooking.
Wear it – For your face, mix it with an avocado and apply it to skin and leave it on for 10 minutes.

2. Honey

Eat it – Eating honey gives you its antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties that can protect your body. Honey also improves blood flow to the skin.

Wear it – For your skin honey is good for treating acne and reducing redness Just mix 1/2 teaspoon honey, 2 teaspoons yogurt and 2 teaspoons brewed green tea. Apply to face and leave on for about 10 minutes.

3. Papaya

Eat it – This fruit has rejuvenating enzymes and vitamin A that can help many skin issues like acne and rosacea. It also contains vitamins C and E that aide in the formation of collagen and elastin. Vitamin C is key is known to counter the effects of sun damage and vitamin E is also vital because wards off sun damage, as well as age spots and wrinkles.

Wear it – When applied to you skin, papaya exfoliates skin, repairs sun damage, fades age spots, and helps smooth the complexion. Just cut a slice of papaya, remove the seeds and pulp, then rub the inside peel of the papaya peel on a clean face, focus on lines around the mouth and eyes, neck and hands. Leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes, and then rinse off with water. Works best if you do it twice a week.
