What’s in Your Makeup Bag?

by admin on February 7, 2011

Almost every girl or women wears makeup. I really can’t think of one women I don’t know who doesn’t wear it – even just a little. Then there are those, like me, who go absolutely over load on the amount of makeup products they own. Personally I really do think most women are oversold products they need for a great look. You end up with things you don’t need or you don’t exactly know what to do with. I started following a couple of my favorite fashion bloggers on twitter, they talked about makeup all the time! I have learned so much from them, among other sources and thought I would share it with you.

Makeup should be based on personal needs. Think about what kind of looks you want to create. Then research them. Look on Google images, YouTube and blogs for the type of look you want. You will be surprised at the amount of people who post how-to tutorials on a variety of different looks. Below are some of my favorite places to check out new looks I want to accomplish. The best part about these tutorials are that they always tell you what brand and colors they are using so you know exactly what you need and you don’t over purchase anything. A couple will even give you examples of a more cost effective product you can use in place of more expensive professional makeup and tools.

theglamfairy – Haha I know she’s crazy on Jerseylicous but her latest posts are pretty informative and entertaining.
dope2111 – She’s really sweet and also does fun look-a-like examples of your favorite celebrities and other characters in case you’d like to try them out for Halloween.
MakeupGeekTV – Lots of tutorials on anything you might have seen in a makeup ad and much more – even those amazing looks Sephora come up with all the time!

KeikoLynn.com – Just an amazing site. She doesn’t do to many videos but posts enough photos that you get the idea of what to do. She also list every product and brush shes uses for every look. This is probably my favorite site for tutorials – lots of very classic looks you’ve always been dying to know how to do.
Makeupgeek.com – This site goes along with makeupgeektv on you tube. Here you can find all the products use and reviews on products maybe you wanted to try out but weren’t really sure about.

Of course you can follow us too! @pinkappleonline – and there are a lot more, you just need to figure out what you like the most.
